Good afternoon Tracy Paulson founder of rightful legal a Massachusetts based personal injury firm today I wanted to talk about pfas and what you can do to keep yourself safe at home pfas are forever chemicals uh there are a group of man-made chemicals that are found in a host of consumer goods uh including Cosmetics um nonstick cookware they’re found in makeup dental floss and contact lenses they’re also found in your drinking water and they come from various sources such as firefighting foam also from industrialized processes near airports and so forth so they can leak into the aquafor they’re found all over the United States and they’re in high levels here in Massachusetts um ingestion of p pfas in your bloodstream um can bioaccumulate over time and they can lead to serious health risks these include fertility um low birth weight High cholesterol thyroid problems but it also includes uh cancer various types of cancer um and we want to talk a little bit about what you can do for your drinking water at home the most effective is reverse osmosis a water filter that will be under your sink or a water filter that can be installed in your house that can also um clean pasas out of the entire water system those can often be expensive however they are probably worth the investment um today I wanted to talk about a um less expensive actually very affordable alternative and those are based on a a handheld water filtration systems um those such as a britter only remove about 80% of pfas from your drinking water um there are other products out there that are known uh to decrease about 95% of your pfas in your drinking water while also removing um pesticides and other contaminants such as lead I’m not not big on product placement but I did want to talk about this particular product that does check all of those boxes it’s um very inexpensive it’s about $35 you can get this on Amazon and it’s called the um Zero Water Filter I just wanted to show this to you because it is um economical you know there’s you’re hearing this through the news so it makes sense to just to go out and and purchase one of these if you can or purchase this online um also wanted to remind everybody that we are accepting cases for people that are eligible uh for a PFA lawsuit if you find yourself having drank from contaminated water in Massachusetts for um 6 months or more since 1990 to the present and you find yourself with kidney cancer testicular cancer or ulcerative colitis we’re here to help um please call me directly uh or text me directly at 617 821 5856 thank you so much
